Ingredients

Defeating demons in the wild allows Sakuna to harvest their meat, while other ingredients can be found by mining for ore, cutting down plants, and catching fish.  She will take these materials back home to craft weapons, garments, headgear, fertilizer, and food.

Amber

Defeating enemies will also yield amber, a powerful magical substance with myriad uses such as tribute to Lady Kamuhitsuki or as an additive for fertilizer.

Treasure Chests

Hidden across the Isle of Demons are an untold number of treasure chests.  Breaking them open may reveal valuable materials or unique equipment, so be sure to check Sakuna's exploration objectives and explore every nook and cranny while hunting.

Secret Grottoes

Each region has a special stage where resources are plentiful and demons are nowhere to be seen. Here, Sakuna can pick up a veritable bounty of items, so long as she is willing to sacrifice the time to do so.  Gathering from these locations takes several hours, so keep an eye on the clock to avoid missing supper!

Gathering Areas

There are also several spots where Sakuna may send allies to gather up ingredients while freely continuing her adventures.  The longer a gatherer is out, the more materials they'll find.  Tauemon, Kinta, Yui, Myrthe, and Kaimaru each have their own priorities when gathering, so dispatch them wisely to maximize the haul.
